Lancashire Science Festival 29th June 2011

LanBot would like to invite all local schools and colleges to come along to the first Lancashire Science Festival, taking place here at UCLan on 29th June 2011.
We’ll follow it up with a three-day celebration of all things STEM on 29th-30th June 2012
More information will be available at http://www.uclan.ac.uk/lancscifest or by following @lancscifest on Twitter

There’s a lot going on at UCLan

and I really should be blogging about it!

From tonight until Thur, we’ve got an exciting science meets art installation. As featured on the BBC News homepage http://tiny.cc/nh47u┬áNASA images of the sun will be projected onto the solar array on UCLan campus. Anyone can turn up to have a look (you can see it in the evening, after sunset…ironically:) ). There’s also a family event featuring a lecture from Dr Robert Walsh, solar astrophysicist, which starts at 19:45
